Early morning Slow flow yoga - special summer sessions in the Palm Garden at Bali Garden

Through summer we are offering Slow flow yoga sessions every Saturday. These sessions will be suitable for all levels and set in amongst the beautiful palms at Bali Garden's exclusive Palm Garden. This is a one of a kind location that will be available for weddings, funeral celebrations and other events. Bali Garden also has the Stables, a boutique accomodation that can be booked for the weekends of our Palm Garden Yoga.
The one hour 15 min yoga session will include breath work (pranayama), meditation, gentle poses, Sun Salutations with the rising sun, and moving with the breath. We will be rotating through our teachers Mel, Ana and Nik.
We will finish with herbal tea, an opportunity to wander the gardens, find a place for meditation, and the Ashtanga class starts at 9am in the studio, for those of you wanting to do a double class.
Slow Flow Yoga
Saturdays 7.15am
$25 per session
$45 for both 7.15am Slow flow & 9am Ashtanga classes.
Please note: if raining, class will be held inside the studio.
Booking for this is essential as we have limited spaces.

classes with Mel:
Mums yoga, Ashtanga yoga & Yin yoga

Mums (Baby friendly)
One hour class
This is open to anyone including mums/dads - you can bring babies or toddlers. We have toys, and a picnic mat for kids to eat food on. Please bring your child's own snacks. Limit one child per parent please.
Ashtanga Yoga
Aimed at all levels: One hour led practice (or up to 1 hour 15 minutes Mysore)
Beginners will be led through a sequence of poses starting with Sun Salutations to warm up, standing poses and then seated poses.
If you are familiar with the primary series you may go at your own pace.
These classes involve hands on adjustments and individual assistance throughout. Please indicate if you would not like hands on adjustments.
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is the perfect compliment to Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles as it is the complete opposite! Slow moving, staying in each pose for some time, resolving to remain still. A great opportunity to slow down.
The evening Yin class starts with breathing exercises to calm the mind, followed by restorative yoga poses where the body is supported to allow the deep connective tissue and fascia to stretch and release. By closing the eyes and moving slowly into each pose and remaining there for sometime, then slowly moving out of each pose, the mind turns inward to feel a deep stillness that nourishes on all levels.
The perfect end to your busy day, and classes are suitable for all levels.

“All disease begins in the gut” - Hippocrates said, and during her time as a holistic nutritionist, Ana can certainly vouch for the importance of preventing and addressing dysfunction of the gut.
For that reason Ana is facilitating a 3.5 hour workshop to begin the month of April.
Your time together will include around 60-90 minutes of discussion and education around common complaints, the importance of nourishing our gut, the impact of a chronically heightened sympathetic nervous system and ways in which we can investigate and support healthy gut function.
Ana will then lead a 75 minute Hatha practice with an emphasis on nourishing your gut, pranayama (breath work) and your lower 3 chakras (Muladhara, Svadhishthana and Manipura). This practice will cover both a mechanical and energetic approach to healthy digestion.
Finally to round off the event a light but nourishing lunch with digestive tea will be served. You will finish around 1pm.
Very limited spaces to allow plenty of time for any questions.
$85 per person, bookings essential, contact Ana directly: ana@analynch.nz
